Scarlett and the Man is a short film which I shot back in March/April 2014. The film follows the story of two very different people, at polar opposites of each others lives.
The film was shot on location across 3 days in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, and Sutton-on-Sea in Lincolnshire. We shot the film on a combination of the 5D Mark 3 and Super8mm film stock for the flashback sequence.
Just as the film goes into the final stages of post-production I thought I would share some pictures from the shoot and a couple of screen grabs from the colour grade!
This film represents the first foray of film making with a new director to me, Adam Marsden. Adam approached be back in October 2013 about shooting this film, and after reading the script I was hooked!
I really have enjoyed working on this project (currently just finishing the colour grade). What we have currently shot represents a short teaser trailer to help get funding for the much longer script.
Hopefully it won’t be too long until I can share the finished film with you and talk a little about the ‘film making’ process!
I’d like to thank Ollie Craig, Noel Liggins and Adam Marsden for the photos!
